Bling in the Shoe Year with Epic Races
Epic Races is a Michigan race company that has incredibly high quality races. I know this because I read the reviews. I’ve heard about their races for years and they always get outstanding reviews for their events. About a year or so ago, I had the pleasure of meeting the race director, Eva Solomon. She’s an amazing person with high energy!
Unfortunately, I haven’t had the opportunity yet to get to an Epic Race in Michigan. I’ve been wanting to but I haven’t had time in my schedule. (I’ll get there one day!)
So, when the opportunity arose that they were having virtual races, I jumped at the opportunity! Race for bling? I’m in!
I signed up for my first virtual race — the Bling in the Shoe Year.
We’ve been having a crazy winter on Long Island and the day I decided to do the Bling in the Shoe Year was the same day of the Snowflake Race in Long Beach. Since Long Beach doesn’t give out medals (I think they do only for the manager’s race but I could be wrong), I ran this race as a twofer.
It was the coldest day of the year and extremely windy. I ran it with Team Galloway Long Island.
Following the race, I posted my time on the dedicated Facebook page and waited for my swag. Well, approximately two weeks after the race, I received a high quality tee shirt, awesome medal, stickers and even a bib!
All my swag was put away with a big smile on my face in my “pain cave,” and I look forward to the next virtual adventure with Epic Races!
P.S. If you ever want to race an Epic Race, I have a 15% off discount code. Let me know and I’ll send along!
