I was first introduced to IceWorks in Chicago. I was walking around The Fitness and Running Event for Women when I stumbled upon two women icing in a 10 x 10 exhibit area. I went over to them. “What are you doing?” I asked.
“We’re icing. Do you want to try?” one woman said.
I decided to give it a shot and lie down with the IceWorks ice on my back. It felt great.
I was told that the ice pack lasts for hours because it’s made from small plastic spheres used at NASA. It also doesn’t feel that cold to touch because it prevents freezer burn. I had a hard time believing how long it lasted until I bought one, took it home and left it out all night. You know what? It was still cold!
The pack is a little pricey but if it lasts for years, it is well worth the price. Recently, I had the opportunity to talk with the CEO of IceWorks on Blogtalk Radio. Check out what she said:
During this episode of Hilary Topper on Air, I talk with Sharon Evans of IceWorks on the effects of cold therapy and how icing technology has changed to reduce pain, increase healing and more. Check it out!
