Practice breathing outside of training. I am a big fan of box breathing. This is when you start with a timed interval and work on breathing in for that time and breathing out for that same amount of time. For example start with 4 seconds. You would inhale for 4, exhale for 4, inhale for 4 and then exhale for 4. You can do as many sets as you want. Once you master that timed interval you can change it. Also, make sure to belly breath! This is also a great way to relieve stress during the day if you are at work.
