Listen to your body – or if you notice twinges of muscular pain, ease up on your training. If you have track practice planned or a long run, run easy or take the day off altogether. You will not lose fitness over a day – or even a few days – of rest. If your body is tired or hurt, take extra time off. Let your body guide you.
