Dynamic warm up before every swim – Warming up your shoulder muscles before your swim is just as important as the pre-run warm up. The rotator cuff muscles will perform better with an active warm up that increases blood flow to these important shoulder stabilizers. Perform 20 small arm circles clockwise and counter clockwise then 20 medium arm circles each direction on the pool deck. Your shoulders should feel a little burn in the muscles to let you know they are working.
