I’ve been dwelling on a goal for a while now. I haven’t been able to run for several months due to an injury and getting back into it has been difficult. But, I know in my heart that it’s the one activity that I really enjoy. I have a spiritual moment when I run. Even though I find it difficult, I feel in tune with myself and my world around me. When I’m finished, I feel so good!
So, I decided to set a goal for 2014. Ally, one of the winner’s from The Biggest Loser, made her goal to accomplish 13 half marathons in 2013. I loved that. I thought that was so motivating but I knew that would be way too much for me to accomplish. I want to set a goal that I can accomplish. I want to set something that is realistic. I may be able to accomplish two or three half marathons in 2014 but not 14.
So, I decided that if I could run 500 miles in 2014, I will feel accomplished.
