Sweat. Eat. Repeat. Review

I recently received Sweat. Eat. Repeat. in the mail. The book is written by Pamela Nisevich Bede, MS, RD, CSSD, LD, a registered dietician. The book’s intention is to provide the reader with a 90-day playbook to “change your food habits, improve your energy, and reach your goals.”

At the beginning of the book, the author educates the reader on various diets that are currently popular. She then talks about what to east pre-workout, during the workout, and post-workout. For the post-workout, Bede says that it’s imperative to eat 30 to 60 minutes after your workout.

In a subsequent chapter, the author talks about your BMI and provides you with a formula. I immediately tried it and found that I was in the normal range. Wow, I was a little nervous there!

Educational

The book is extremely educational and you will learn a lot about what to eat to make you an efficient athlete. At the beginning of the book, the author provides various suggestions on what to eat, which I thought was great. She also talks about journaling and how important it is to jot everything down.

After that, the rest of the book is a food journal, where you have an opportunity to document your intake.

The Actual Book

The cover is bright yellow and I love the paper that VeloPress used to publish Sweat. Eat. Repeat.

The author makes it very easy to document and provide information on each meal.

Pamela Nisevich Bede feels that if you document, track and own your food habits that it will be easy to change.
