When Stride Soles reached out to me and asked me to review their new custom insoles, I was excited. Let me share my experience.
What Makes Stride Soles Different
Most insoles you buy off the shelf are one-size-fits-most. Stride Soles flips that idea on its head. They make these just for your feet, and the process is surprisingly simple.
Here’s how it works:
- Scan your foot with their app. Use your phone to take a picture of your foot. Easy.
- Measure your foot with a ruler. A quick, old-school measurement to double-check the fit.
- Measure your current insoles. This helps them match the size and shape you’re already used to.
- Film Yourself Walking around. This helps them see if you pronate.
Once you send everything off, you sit back and wait. Within a week or two, your custom insoles arrive right at your door. No trips to a specialty store, no long fittings. Just a package waiting for you when you get home.
Interestingly, when I sent in my measurements, the company emailed me asking if I could re-measure. I loved that personalized attention.
Meet the Person Behind the Product
One of my favorite parts of this whole experience was chatting with the inventor. He’s a runner from Brooklyn, and honestly, one of the nicest people you’ll meet. As someone who logs plenty of miles himself, he noticed that runners needed better support than what was already out there. So he built it.
There’s something special about a product created by someone who actually uses it. You can feel the care behind it.

My Personal Experience
I’ll be honest with you. When my Stride Soles first arrived, I slipped them into my shoes and then… couldn’t really try them out. I’d had a knee replacement, and it threw off my gait for a while. Walking normally was a challenge, let alone testing new insoles.
But as I started to recover, I laced up and gave them a real go. And wow. They are awesome.
The best way I can describe the feeling? It’s like your foot is wrapped in a warm, comfy blanket. They seem to hug every nook and cranny of your feet, filling in all the spots that usually get ignored. Every step felt supported, cushioned, and cared for. For someone working their way back to full strength, that kind of comfort means everything.
Looking Ahead
I’m genuinely excited to keep wearing my Stride Soles as I continue to recover, and long after too. They’ve become a small daily comfort I look forward to, and that’s saying a lot during a season of healing.
